The new calendar „Horses 2026“ painted by Jan Künster
In this harmonious atmosphere, Jan Künster presents the observer a fascinating motif of the equestrian sport month by month. He shows paintings out of dressage and jumping, horse racing, eventing, but also Andalusian horses and free illustrations capturing the magic moments. The individual paintings form a balanced total work of art and reflect, page by page, the horse in its wonderful beauty. This calendar is an absolutely “must have” for all horse lovers.

The year 2026 begins with a powerful leap, depicted by two Noriker horses. These impressive skewbalds are shown in a galloping sequence, bringing energy and a fresh breeze into any living space.
In February, a subtly portrayed dark chestnut greets the viewer. With loyal eyes, a dry head, and a stylishly braided mane, this noble warmblood is sure to make any horse lover’s heart beat faster.
March welcomes spring with strength and grace: a freely galloping coldblood horse embodies power and elegance.
In April, Jan Künster presents an extraordinary collage of two show jumpers mid-leap: one rendered in ink, the other as a golden silhouette – an abstract masterpiece of the highest calibre.
A spirited grey mare and her foal grace the calendar page for May.
In June, a dressage horse in extended trot takes the viewer’s breath away. With scope and elegance, the refined chestnut seems ready to trot right out of the picture.
July’s calendar page features an iconic sequence of an eventing rider at full gallop. In the background stands the Palace of Versailles – a tribute to last year´s Olympic Games in France.
Fascinating studies of classical dressage adorn August’s page. Two Spanish horses are shown, subtly performing a passage and a courbette.
In September, Jan Künster invites the viewer to take on a fresh perspective with his unique painting style. The scene focuses on the brilliant legwork of a black horse during a piaffe. Elegant and striking, it is truly one of a kind.
October welcomes autumn with a bold motif: a close-up of a horse’s head with rider, rendered in abstract shades of blue. This eye-catching image brings a stylish touch to any interior.
Black and white set the tone for November. Two noble horse heads – a grey and a black – adorn the page. Together, they appear to gaze into the future of the approaching new year. A dreamlike, contemplative motif.
Finally, December takes us into the world of carriage driving, brought to life by the internationally renowned artist. A pair of black horses pull the carriage, bringing winter to life. This powerful image marks the year’s end and sets the tone for a strong, enduring, and energetic start to 2027.
