Faces

Faces, marked by life, have always fascinated Jan Künster. And it has been these kind of portrayals which started his career. The first exhibition on the subject "Faces" was hosted at the Lufthansa establishment in Bonn in 1975.

The artist works black on white and hereby shows the morbid beauty of movie-stars as well as the heavily lined facets of aging or the dolor over inconceivable way of life. These portrayals touch the soul of the viewer.
